Providence Health & Services Alaska and Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation are joining their two air ambulance services, LifeGuard Alaska and Aeromed International, under a new corporation: LifeMed Alaska.
Beginning operations in Fall 2008, this new company will provide the most comprehensive medevac services in Alaska. With transport services for adult, pediatric, neonate and high-risk obstetric patients using an advanced fleet of Lear Jet, turboprop, and helicopter air ambulance craft. LifeMed Alaska will be based in Anchorage with rural service hubs in Soldotna and Bethel. |
