Dan Marman

 

Dan MarmanDan is a 31 year veteran of the chemical dependency and human services field. He is a National Certified Masters Addiction Counselor, a State Certified Chemical Dependency Clinical Supervisor, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Dan has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychology Counseling and Guidance. While serving in the US Navy from 1972 to 1980, he worked as Program Director for the Navy's Alcoholism Rehab Service at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, California. During the 1980's, he was the Program Director of a 53 bed adolescent residential care facility in North Dakota. He has served as the Director of the Alaska State Medical Association's Impaired Physicians monitoring program.  Dan has been a member of the Breakthrough team since March of 1990, serving as the family therapist and then as the Intake Assessement Co-ordinator.  In January of 2000, Dan assumed the responsibiltiy of Director of Breakthrough. In March of 2004, Dan has accepted additional duties as the Director of Behavioral Health Clinics for Providence Health System Alaska. He oversees the following agencies: Providence Breakthrough, Providence Langdon Clinic, and Providence Behavioral Medical Group North (Anchorage and Wasilla).
