 Lila Berry is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned a BSW in Social Work from Marquette University, and a Master degree in Social Work from Jane Addams School of Social Work, University of Illinois, Chicago. Ms. Berry worked in her field in Illinois since 1980 before coming to Alaska in 1993.
In Illinois she provided mental health, drug and alcohol prevention and treatment, and social work services to Southeast Asian, East African, and Central American refugees. She also worked with ethnic Chinese clients seeking mental health and drug and alcohol services.
Ms. Berry provided adolescent and family counseling services at Fort Richardson. She has worked with chronically mentally ill adults in inpatient settings and in the community. She has worked extensively with children and adolescents and their family as well as with adults and with elders. Ms. Berry is a trained EMDR provider and has experience with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
Her services include working with people with chronic illnesses, posttraumatic stress, depression, school related issues, and workplace issues. Ms. Berry currently provides individual, family, marital and group counseling services.
