Supporting Providence Regional Medical Center Everett's commitment to provide quality medical care for our community, the Department of Medical Education will provide educational programs for all health care providers in order to maintain a high level of skill and knowledge for its practitioners.
Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is committed to providing quality medical care for its patients. For this purpose PRMCE is dedicated to maintaining a Department of Medical Education to provide high quality education programs pertinent to appropriate, new developments in patient care.
Continuing medical education activities will be made available to all health care providers who wish to avail themselves of educational opportunities.
With constant consideration given to the needs and requirements of all physicians and allied health professionals, this mission will be accomplished by presenting pertinent, ongoing educational offerings supported by lecturers expert in their fields. Regular needs assessments for medical education offerings will include input from PEMC medical staff practitioners, quality assurance findings, quality improvement recommendations, and course evaluations. These assessments will be reviewed and evaluated on an ongoing basis by the Medical Education Committee.
- Educational programs may include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Department meetings
- Conferences and Symposia
- Individualized activities
- Regional/national conferences
- Jointly sponsored activities with other accredited educational organizations
All educational conferences which meet the standards of Category I or Category II of the Physicians Recognition Award of the American Medical Association will be conducted in a manner to qualify for certification.
