Education is a key to keeping healthy, and today more than ever before women and their families are seeking out information to help them take charge of their own personal wellness. That's why the Family Resource Center is such a vital part of the Pavilion for Women and Children. The Center's shelves are stocked with books for sale and free pamphlets on a variety of health topics that concern family members of every age and stage in life. The Center also provides literature searches, breast pump rentals, equipment for viewing educational videos, plus a retail store where unique health care products can be purchased.
The Resource Center concept grew out of our commitment to provide family-centered care to all our patients. Patients need to feel capable, to understand their minds and bodies. Armed with knowledge, they can participate in health decisions throughout their lives. That's what the Family Resource Center is all about.
Birth and Family Education
Our goal is to provide the most comprehensive and up-to-date maternity education, at the most affordable price, for families in our community.
Children's Safety Programs and Resources
The Family Resource Center provides classes, books, and products to help you in prevention of injuries and other safety-related issues to your newborn, toddler, young child, and teenager. Providence Everett Medical Center works in collaboration with the Children's Association and the Snohomish County SAFEKIDS in providing some of these resources to parents.
Pregnancy Resource Center
An online resource providing comprehensive information on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and parenting.
