You may become eligible for in-home nursing or therapy services if you meet all of the following criteria:
- You are homebound
- You have a medical necessity
- Your physician requested treatment
- You require skilled, not custodial, care
Providence Home Health accepts payment from Medicare A, Medicare B, Medicaid and most insurance plans. Providence Home Services will bill your insurance company directly for you.
You may receive in-home nursing or therapy services if there has been a recent change in your health status. To be eligible for Medicare Part A home health services, covered by Medicare at 100 percent, you must meet all of the eligibility requirements.
If you are not homebound, physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT) and speech/language pathology (SLP) services can still be provided under Medicare Part B. Medicare covers 80 percent of these charges. A 20 percent co-pay is required, but the co-pay is usually covered by most insurance policies.
