Gift Planning and Donations

Each year, Providence Hospice of Seattle is a source of comfort and support for families at a time of great need. We rely upon the generous support from the community to ensure that the financial resources are always available to provide hospice care to any family in need, regardless of their ability to pay.

Our work is made possible only through the generosity of people like you. Your gift will help a person with a terminal illness complete their life with dignity and comfort. For family and friends, your gift will offer special support services that in many ways say, "you are not alone."

Providence Hospice of Seattle offers many ways for you to help provide support. Although Providence Hospice of Seattle is part of the Sisters of Providence family, we maintain a separate 501(c) 3 status and are a qualified non-profit organization.

General Donations
An outright gift of cash, securities, real estate or personal property may be made. Simply call or write us at the address below.

Events
Periodically, Providence Hospice of Seattle sponsors fundraising events and activities which give supporters and the community an opportunity to support our programs and services. Click on the Events Calendar for more information about upcoming events.

Designated Memorial Giving
A commemorative gift to Providence Hospice of Seattle offers a meaningful way to honor someone who has touched your life. The honored person or the family of someone you wish to memorialize will receive a card acknowledging the gift. Many people honor family members and friends on birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions.

Planned Gifts
You may choose to leave a legacy to future generations through a bequest in your will, through a living trust or a gift of life insurance. We can also provide you with information about gift plans that offer you or a loved one with life income. Gifts may be restricted for a special purpose or unrestricted for use by Providence Hospice of Seattle wherever the need is greatest.

Endowed Funds
Endowed funds ensure that the special care provided by Providence Hospice of Seattle will always be available because only the interest income from the fund is used. The endowment principal remains intact forever, assuring the donor that his or her gift will continue working for generations to come.

An endowed fund may be named in honor of the donor or in memory of a loved one, and may be established with a gift of $25,000 or more paid through a one-time gift, or through payments over a period of months or years. Any family member may continue to give to the endowment even after it is funded.
