$500 is charged for a second person in a one, two bedroom, or deluxe studio apartment.
The monthly rate includes three meals daily, local telephone service, weekly housekeeping, linen services and all utilities. The level of assistance a resident needs or wants is determined during a comprehensive assessment conducted by the nursing staff, prospective resident and family member. Fees for a negotiated service plan are based on this assessment and a point based system.
Additional fees will be posted on-site for therapy services, medications, beauty and barber shop, massage, dentistry, podiatry and audiology. Charges will not be made for an item or service for which payment is made under Medicare or Medicaid or for services that are not requested.
 Negotiated Service Plan and Fees
At Vashon Community Care Center Assisted Living we can provide a wide array of personal services including bathing assistance, medication monitoring, assistance with activities of daily living, and gentle reminders. Provision of these services are based on a comprehensive assessment and mutually agreed upon service plan based on the assessment.
The service plan fee is based on a numberical point system. When a person has care needs, those needs are assigned a point value and a monitary fee is charged. The cost of a service plan is figured out prior to admission and prospective residents are informed as to what the cost for their individualized service plan will be. By using this type of system, residents only pay for additional services that they need.
The service plan is subject to reevaluation after the first month of residency, quarterly and if there is a significant change in a resident's health status.
