Providence Regional Rehabilitation Center is the only inpatient rehabilitation center in the region. Inpatient and outpatient services include stroke recovery, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic injury care, hand therapy and worker rehabilitation.  |  | |  | What's New at Providence?  A new kitchen for patients with disabilities to practice activities of daily living is added to the region's only inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation center. The newly designed rehabilitation therapy kitchen opened with a dedication ceremony and reception on Thursday, August 12.
 Saline water has replaced chlorine in the aquatic therapy pool. Saline is easier on the skin and non-irritating for people who suffer from respiratory problems.
 95% of the stroke patients at Providence Regional Rehabilitation Center are discharged to their homes compared to 68% of patients nationally.
 Compared to national function gain scores, stroke patients at Providence Regional Rehabilitation Center gain an average of .07 more function.
 91-100% of injured patients return to their homes and recover more function compared to the national average of 70-80%.
 More trauma, neurological and amputee inpatients gain function and return home compared to the national average.
