Providence Benedictine Nursing Center

Phone:503-845-6841

Running a nationally recognized nursing center means more than simply providing quality care. It also means treating each individual we serve with respect and compassion. By working to enhance each individual’s physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being, our staff helps each person to achieve his or her highest quality of life while living here.

Our team of professionals includes registered nurses who coordinate all aspects of care and consult directly with the attending physicians. The nurses also coordinate and communicate with family members throughout the residents' stay at the center. Certified nurse’s aides help residents with activities of daily living. When necessary, a clinical nurse specialist provides specific medical expertise. Student nurses and interns from local colleges and universities also contribute to the center's progressive style of caregiving.

Other members of our health care team specialize in the following:

  • Rehabilitation: Providing physical, occupational, and speech and language therapy to help residents regain function and independence.
  • Social services: Helping individuals and their families through admission, discharge and other transitions.
  • Dietary services: Working to meet the individual needs of each resident and, when appropriate, educating residents' family members.
  • Activities program: Offering a variety of individualized, small-group and intergenerational activities to stimulate and involve residents.
  • Spiritual services and counseling: Addressing the spiritual needs of residents through personal visits by Catholic and Protestant chaplains, daily Mass, interdenominational services and weekly Bible study.
  • Mental health: Promoting wellness by offering assessment, counseling and community education.
  • Short Stay Unit: Located inside the Nursing Center, the Short Stay Unit is Medicare-certified. It offers rehabilitation services and skilled nursing services.
