Providence St. Vincent Medical Center: How to Apply
Providence St. Vincent Medical Center participates in the National Resident Matching Program. We welcome qualified graduates from M.D. and D.O. programs. Applications should be made through ERAS and are accepted through December. Early application is encouraged as interview spots are limited. International Medical Graduates (IMG) should review the requirements below for non-LCME accredited schools.
Special Considerations: International Medical Graduates (IMG)
Providence Health & Services and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center DO NOT sponsor international visas of any kind. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for matriculation to our program.
In addition to standard ERAS materials, our program requires IMGs to demonstrate:
Graduation within five years of medical school
Competent English language skills
Certification of passing marks on ECFMG including the Clinical Skills Assessment
Passing USMLE scores (for parts one and two)
At the program director’s discretion, observership in a U.S. teaching hospital may be required under certain circumstances
Special Considerations: Applying Outside the Match
Occasionally, our program can accommodate off-cycle applicants for positions beginning outside of the usual July-June calendar. Also, applicants having completed medical school or other post-graduate residency training in a year prior to the current application year may wish to seek a position without waiting for, or going through, the NRMP match process. Qualified interested applicants are encouraged to apply and should contact Beth Morris the program administrator.
