Providence St. Vincent Medical Center: How to Apply
Providence St. Vincent Medical Center participates in the National Resident Matching Program. We welcome qualified graduates from M.D. and D.O. programs. Applications should be made through ERAS and are accepted through December. Early application is encouraged as interview spots are limited. International Medical Graduates (IMG) should review the requirements below for non-LCME accredited schools.
Our Application Process
Application Requirements for 2010-2011
Application for internship will be accepted only through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) from Sept. 1 through Dec. 1, 2009. (We cannot accept paper applications.)
Required application materials are the same as those required by ERAS: a transcript, dean's letter, two letters of recommendation, letter from the department or chair, USMLE or COMLEX transcript, personal statement, etc.
Applications for PGY-2 and PGY-3 positions will be accepted through our office if openings arise.
International Medical Graduates (IMGs) are required to be ECFMG-certified at the time they submit an application.
You must have completed medical school within the last five years. (To apply for 2010-2011, you must have finished medical school no earlier than 2004.)
Under certain circumstances, we may require an observership in a U.S. teaching hospital, at the discretion of the program director.
