Dr. Curti

Brendan D. Curti, M.D.
Medical Director

Dr. Curti, serves as medical director of the Biotherapy Program and the Genitourinary Malignancy Research Program at the Robert W. Franz Cancer Research Center in the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., where he also completed a fellowship in medical oncology. Dr. Curti served as a senior investigator in the Biological Response Modifiers Program at the National Cancer Institute. He was an associate professor at Pennsylvania State University’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In addition to his work at the Franz Center, Dr. Curti has a medical oncology practice at Providence Eastside Oncology/Hematology Clinic.


Dr. Walter Urba

Walter J. Urba, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Urba serves as director of research for Providence Health and Services. He earned his Ph.D. in immunology from the University of California at Los Angeles and his medical degree from the University of Miami (Florida). He served a fellowship in medical oncology, medicine branch, at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Urba served as the director of the Clinical Services Program at the Biological Response Modifiers Program at the National Cancer Institute - Frederick Cancer Research and Development Center.


Dr. John Smith

John W. Smith II, M.D.

Dr. Smith has a medical oncology practice at Northwest Cancer Specialists. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He served a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Smith was the senior staff fellow and later served as a senior investigator in the Biological Response Modifiers Program at the National Cancer Institute.


Dr. Todd Crocenzi

Todd Crocenzi M.D.

After earning his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Crocenzi completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.  At the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, he was a Fellow in Hematology/Oncology and a Research Fellow in Immunology. He has a practice at Providence Eastside Oncology/Hematology Clinic.


Robert Lufkin, DO

Dr. Lufkin, received his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME.  He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Providence Portland Medical Center. During his residency, he rotated with the Biotherapy service at PPMC. Dr. Lufkin was a Fellow in Medical Oncology/Hematology at Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine, Springfield, MA.  He has also been an internist with the VA Medical Center and also with The Oregon Clinic in Medical Oncology.  Dr. Lufkin returned to Portland in 2007 and has a practice at Providence Eastside Oncology/Hematology Clinic.


Lyn Glenn

Lyn Glenn, F.N.P., A.O.C.N.

Lyn serves as director of Cancer Clinical Programs at Providence Cancer Center and is a nurse practitioner. Lyn received her master’s degree in nursing from Washington State University and is a certified family nurse practitioner with advanced certification in oncology. In addition to her role in the Biotherapy Program, she manages other cancer clinical programs including the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Program, Hepatobiliary Program, Thoracic Oncology Clinic and Cancer Research Nursing.


Roxanne Payne

Roxanne Payne, MN, FNP-BC, OCN

Roxanne is the nurse practitioner for the Biotherapy Program. She received her Master’s in Nursing from Washington State University and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in oncology at PPMC for the past 9 years. Roxanne also is the nurse practitioner for Providence’s Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Program.


Sarah Lnehan

Sarah Linehan, RN, OCN

Sarah is the Biotherapy Program nurse coordinator. She went to school at Montgomery College in Tacoma Park, MD. After working for 7 years in surgical oncology at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., she joined Providence working in our Medical Oncology unit for 10 years then joining the Biotherapy Program in 2006. Sarah also serves as the Autologus Stem Cell Tranplant Program nurse coordinator.


Beverly Richards

 Beverley Richards, CRA II, CCRP

Beverley is the data manager for the Biotherapy Program. She is a certified clinical research professional and has served in the oncology data management role at Providence Health & Services for more than 18 years.
