Breast cancer patients and others can access CaringBridge and Lotsa Helping Hands for extra support, in addition to the breast care services available through Providence Health & Services.

Providence receives grant to launch breast health registry database
Providence St. Vincent Medical Center will soon launch a new breast health registry, thanks in part to a $125,000 grant from the Safeway Foundation. This grant is a result of Safeway’s 2007 breast cancer campaign in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Providence Portland Medical Center also received a significant grant to establish the Safeway Breast Cancer Research Laboratory. Safeway’s campaign raised more than $1 million thanks to donations from its customers and employees. Learn more.

Hope for young patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

Research into more effective therapies at Providence Cancer Center is paying off with very high quality survivorship and long life for many patients diagnosed with lymphoma, according to Lymphoma Program medical director Craig Nichols, M.D. Learn more.

Announcing Gamma Knife Perfexion

The new Providence Cancer Center on the campus of Providence Portland Medical Center is home to the first Gamma Knife Perfexion in the Northwest. Gamma Knife Perfexion is the gold standard for noninvasive radiosurgery for head and neck cancers and for other neurological conditions. Learn more.
