The Core Curriculum program has two parts. The Core Curriculum I (CCI) course is an all-day program that provides information on basic ethical principals and the Providence model for describing and analyzing clinical ethical dilemmas. CCI is a prerequisite for other Core Curriculum courses. The Core Curriculum II (CCII) courses are half day programs provided in four parts that facilitate application of the information of CCI to several topics frequently encountered in clinical practice. CCIIA focuses on patient decision making and clinical conflicts. (The new module for CCIIA will be introduced in 2009.) CCIIB focuses on end-of-life and beginning-of-life issues.
