When you submit our online physician referral form via our secure server, you will receive a response by e-mail within one business day. Here are our online referral practices:

There is no cost to you for this referral service and physicians do no pay us to use this service.

All physicians must be in good standing with Providence St. Peter Hospital and must adhere to the Medical Staff bylaws.

The selection process for referrals is done on a rotating basis.

If your health insurance requires you to have prior approval for a referral, you will have to contact your primary care physician and/or your health insurance prior to making an appointment.
Online Referral User Agreement
The information you provide will be submitted to us via a secure server. However, we will send an online referral via an insecure e-mail message. An online referral consists of one or several physician names, their specialty, office address and phone number. Before requesting an online referral, please indicate that you have read, understood and agree with the following statement:
"I agree to receive an online physician referral sent to the email address I provide. I understand that the e-mail message will not be secure and could be viewed by a third party."
