Please join us for Providence St. Peter Foundation’s 2009 Wellness Luncheon with special guest Christine Clifford Beckwith. A breast cancer survivor, she has spoken worldwide on her theories of therapeutic humor and celebrating survivorship.
Shortly after her cancer diagnosis, Christine learned that the world laughs with you when you laugh, but laughter also takes away the pain – and sharing the humor helps everyone. Today, as an award-winning author and motivational speaker, Christine brings humor, hope and inspiration to thousands of people when they need it most – whether they’re dealing with cancer or some other adversity.
Christine has written five award-winning books, including Not Now…I’m Having a No Hair Day, Our Family Has Cancer Too and Cancer Has Its Privileges: Stories of Hope & Laughter. Her message of hope reminds us that we can’t always change what has happened to us, but we can change our attitudes and rediscover the healing power of humor. Providence St. Peter Foundation and RadiantCare Radiation Oncology are partnering to raise funds for the Providence Regional Cancer System.
