Medical-Surgical Units
- Visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- No more than two visitors at a time, please
- Children under age seven may visit with permission of the nurse.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- People with colds or infections should not visit.
- Family members wanting to speak to the surgeon after an operation should stay in the surgery waiting area. A volunteer will keep your family informed of your progress.
- Visitors should not bring food without the nurse’s permission since the patient may be on a special diet.
- Providence St. Peter Hospital has a no-smoking policy that includes patients, staff and visitors.
Family Birth Center
Critical Care
- Immediate family and significant others are allowed to visit. Please, no children under age 14. Check with your nurse if this is a problem.
- Visitors should limit their stay to 10 minutes per hour.
- Discuss visiting hours with the nursing staff.
Regional Cancer Center
- Visiting hours are restricted only by the patient’s condition and patient or family requests.
- People with colds or infections should not visit.
Medical Rehabilitation Center
- Families and caregivers who need to be in the unit for training are able to visit every day from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Pediatric (Children’s) Unit
- Parents may visit or stay with their child as they wish. A cot is available for a parent to stay overnight.
- Healthy brothers, sisters and friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- All visiting children must be accompanied by an adult.
Psychiatry
- Visiting hours are 6:00 to 7 p.m. daily.
- Family education meeting from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturdays
- Families and friends are invited to remain after the group meeting to visit
Surgery Patients
- Visitors are welcome to visit surgery patients in their room before and after surgery. Family members wanting to speak to the surgeon after an operation should stay in the surgery waiting area. A volunteer will keep families informed of their patient's progress.
