 This clinic is designed to teach you the skills you will need to prepare for your hip or knee replacement surgery.
An Occupational and/or
Physical Therapist will:

Help you decide what equipment you will need for home after surgery. |

Discuss expected hospital progression and goals. |
| |
• |
Review your exercises. |
| |
• |
Teach you post operative precautions. |
| |
• |
Advise you on how to prepare your home for a safe discharge from the hospital. |
| |
• |
Teach you to use your crutches or walker on level ground and on stairs and curbs. |
| |
• |
Teach you how to get into and out of a bed, a chair, the bath and a car. |
