Providence Behavioral Medicine Group (PBMG) offers outpatient psychiatric care for emotional issues. The Clinic staff includes Psychiatrists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and Psychologists.

Bipolar disorder  To provide basic information and coping skills about dealing with bipolar disorder

Chronic Pain and Illness  To improve understanding and coping skills for chronic pain sufferers

Codependency  For those who get lost in relationships

Grief and Loss  To examine the phenomenon of loss and the grief reaction

Insomnia  To improve the quality of sleep for those who have difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep

Mind over matters  To overcome problem feelings and behaviors by changing unhelpful or outdated thinking patterns

Self-esteem  To enhance personal self-confidence, assertiveness in communication, and sense of value

Tools for Living  To learn new coping skills and to change self-defeating patterns

What is Group Therapy?
Group therapy consists of 3-10 people meeting together with one or two therapists to learn about yourself and how to relate to others. Groups meet either for a specified number of sessions, or are 'open-ended".

Benefits of group therapy:
It can work more quickly than individual therapy

Information can be gained from therapist as well as from group members

There is the opportunity for giving and receiving feedback

You can learn how others approach and solve problems that are similar to yours

You can learn how to give support
