Dr. Carolyn Rader is a second generation Anchorage Psychiatrist. Dr. Rader was raised in Anchorage and was the valedictorian of her graduating class at East High School. Dr. Rader then went on to graduate from Stanford University as well as taking classes at UAA before entering the University of Washington Medical School.
Dr. Rader attended the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center Psychiatric Residency finishing there in 1995. Dr. Rader then worked At the Adams County community Mental Health Center in Colorado for 2 years. She specialized in outpatient treatment as well as their dual diagnosis program.
Dr. Rader returned to Anchorage in 1996. She joined the staff of Langdon Clinic upon her return. Dr. Rader focuses primarily on outpatient treatment with special interest in psychotherapy. Dr. Rader is licensed to practice Medicine in Alaska and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1997.
Dr. Rader is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Alaska Psychiatric Association.
