Dr. Telford received his medical degree from the Northeastern Ohio University's College of Medicine. He completed his residency training in psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota with distinction, serving as chief resident and being awarded the title of Laughlin Fellow. Following residency, he moved to Alaska to join an outpatient practice and the medical staff at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
Dr. Telford currently serves as the director of the Adult Mental Health Unit at Providence Alaska Medical Center where he provides direct patient care and supervision to the nursing and therapist staff. He continues a limited outpatient practice through the Providence Behavioral Medicine Group - North.
