Dr. Langdon came to Alaska with her family prior to statehood in 1958. After completing high school, she left the state to continue her education. She completed her medical training at the St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1984. In 1988, she completed her psychiatric training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where she had held the chief resident position. Dr. Langdon obtained board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1990 and obtained recertification in 2004. She has worked in private practice in Denver and, most recently, in Anchorage. In addition, she has worked in the public mental health system in Denver and Pueblo, Colorado, and for 5 ½ years in Auckland, New Zealand. Her areas of interest include: reproductive mental health, medical informatics and sleep disorders. She completed a certificate in Medical Informatics from Oregon Health Sciences University in 2004. Professional organizations to which she belongs include: American Psychiatric Association, Alaska Psychiatric Association, Alaska State Medical Association, and the Marce Society.
