Emergency Department
In collaboration with the Providence Alaska Medical Center Emergency Department, a 12-14 week nursing fellowship has been developed. The program is designed to offer experienced nurses an opportunity to transition into emergency nursing. For nurses just beginning their careers, this program will be an option once they have 18 months of acute care experience.
The content of the fellowship follows the blueprint established by the Emergency Nurses Association’s Core Curriculum, which includes didactic component, skills labs, preceptored practice experiences, and other practical experiences.
An agreement is signed to work in the Emergency Department full time for 2 years following completion of the program.
