3. When registration in Renewal course confirmed and copy of NRP card supplied PALI will issue "Access Code" to provider.

4. Provider logs on to http://www.aap.org/nrp and follows links to "NRP Online Evaluation". Once this is done the provider has 14 days to complete the written evaluation.

5. Print off the Certificate of Completion which is valid for 30 days.

6. Provider brings Certificate to NRP Renewal course, for which they have previously registered.

a. Should not show up at a course without registering as it may be full and instructors will not be able to accommodate you.

7. If Certificate and NRP card are current provider arrives at 8:30 a.m. and completes the Megacode only.

a. If NRP Card or Certificate expires before the scheduled NRP Renewal course the provider must sign up for a FULL NRP Provider course and complete all performance checkoffs.

Why Web-based training?
Web-based (WBT) training is available 24/7. You will have more choices as to when you complete courses. WBT is designed to allow you, the learner, to focus on the most important facts to be learned. Feedback is given throughout the course.

In most cases, you can test out of a course by taking the Pre-assessment (PA). If you get an 80% or better, you will not have to take the course. If you get below 80%, you will be directed to the course. HealthStream will not bookmark your place for a pre-assessment or a post-test, so once you start either one you will need to complete them without interruption or you will be closed out.

With courses that Providence has written, pictures and information very specific to Providence will be part of the course.

WBT is best used for learning facts, information, and concepts. It is not used for attitudinal (choosing to value diversity) or psychomotor skills (starting an IV). Feedback on WBT courses is given by using the on-line survey.
