Anyone who is at least 18 years old and has a high school diploma or GED.

What Happens After I Complete The Program?
You will be prepared to take the exam with the State of Alaska Division of Occupational Licensing to become a Certified Nurse Assistant.
Process and Details
• Qualified applications are sent to the Hiring Manager for review. If selected for an interview, you will be contacted.
• Once hired, there is a TWO (2) YEAR employment commitment with Providence Extended Care. If you do not complete your TWO (2) YEAR commitment, there is a reimbursement schedule.
• The first six (6) weeks of employment is your training period.
• The training wage is $8.50 per hour.
• Classes are limited to twelve (12) students.
• Upon successful completion of the six (6) week training period, your wage will increase to $13.00 per hour.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE
to pay for your State Certification. The fee for certification is $229.00. Providence will pay for your test fee of $40.
• You will receive at least three (3) payroll checks by the time you sit for the State exam.
• You are responsible for obtaining and paying for two (2) sets of fingerprints at the Anchorage Police Department and a passport picture, which can be obtained at Wal-Mart, Costco or Sears.
2008 new employees will begin work on:
