Jan Campbell

 

Jan CampbellJan obtained a Bachelor (with a psychology minor) and a Master degree (with a clinical focus) in Social Work from the University of Alaska, Anchorage and is a nationally certified drug and alcohol counselor.

Prior to coming to work at Breakthrough in 1991, Jan worked with women in a halfway house as well as with women in transition from battering relationships into the workforce.  Jan has also worked with homeless addicted and mentally ill veterans in a residential treatment program.  In Jan's 12 years of experience at Breakthrough, Jan has faciltiated treatment groups in every component of treatment, and recently co-developed and co-facilitated the Codependency Treatment Program within Breakthrough.

Jan has experience in treatment of women's issues, codependency, family of origin trauma, resolution of shame, and utilizes diverse therapeutic modalities to address issues on an individualized basis.  Jan has experience and skill in addressing co-existing mental health disorders that frequently accompany individuals suffering from addiction.
