Foundation fund-raising efforts are based on the belief that that societal needs being met by the Sisters of Providence in Alaska are critically important, and that contributions are an essential ingredient in assisting the Sisters' ability to meet these needs. The Foundation helps in this process by educating donors and the public at large in their understanding of these needs, and by providing them with opportunities to support the Providence Health System in Alaska by way of philanthropic contributions. Children's Miracle Network (CMN) CMN is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for 170 non-profit children's hospitals throughout North America. Planned Giving The Foundation offers consultations and seminars on estate planning, trusts, and annuities, which also include ideas on how you can include Providence in planning for your financial future Other Services There are also many services the Sisters of Providence provide which perhaps are not necessary in a strict medical or business sense, but which are provided because the community has told us they are important. Examples include: Providence House, a "home away from home" for patients and their families from outside the Anchorage area; the Child Life educator who assists kids in the Children's Hospital at Providence; and the Safe Kids Coalition, the state-wide injury prevention and accident education program. |
