Using your unique skills, talents and resources
to give
Providence is much more than a hospital. It’s a center of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being for our families, friends and neighbors. Providence programs extend well beyond the hospital campus, meeting the needs of Alaskans and our larger community through a variety of health care and outreach programs.

All of Providence’s programs—on campus and in the community—provide opportunities for you to donate your unique skills, talents and resources. Businesses provide their services free of charge, donate products and lead outreach campaigns. Artists provide paintings, sculptures, quilts and photography. Amateur athletes run, bike, ski, swim and walk in athletic events to raise funds. People from all walks of life volunteer their time for those in need of support and care. The possibilities are endless.

For many years, Dr. Maury Coyle led the development of radiology at Providence, bringing the best in technology and expertise to Alaska. Now in retirement, Maury hasn’t stopped giving. Recently, he recorded two jazz compact discs, “Just What the Doctor Ordered” and “Vital Signs.” Maury donates the proceeds to The Children’s Hospital at Providence. Now he’s at work helping to develop a new cancer center, and most of his time is volunteered. “Alaskans deserve the very best in health care,” he says. “If you see a place where you can make a difference, where you have the power to change things for the better, it is a crime not to
do so.”
