Giving annually
There are things we do every year to ensure good health. We know an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Take a moment each year to ensure that the best health care is always available for you and your loved ones. Make an annual gift to Providence. Your gift can be large or small, designated to a special program or directed to the hospital’s greatest need. However you choose to give, make giving to Providence part of your annual health care routine.
Annual contributions to Providence make a difference—supporting programs, services and equipment that otherwise wouldn’t be available. The difference could be the joy brought to a child by a new video game in The Children’s Hospital or a patient using our navigator program in the Providence Cancer Center.

Neonatal nurse practitioner Mia McDermott is always ready. At a moment’s notice, she can fly to a remote Alaska community with the LifeGuard team to transport a pregnant mother or newborn to Providence for intensive care. “It’s not just a job,” says Mia. “It’s a way of life. It’s part of who you are. I love kids. I love families.” Mia’s care for her patients doesn’t stop at her unit door. Watching people struggle with the high costs of health care inspired Mia to donate annually to Providence’s Charity Care Endowment. She’s been doing so since 1985. “If we’re going to have the best incubator, we need the extra funds to pay for it,” she says. “It’s that simple. We couldn’t do what we do if the employees and the community didn’t care so much about everyone around them.”
