Long Term Care at Kodiak Island

A Warm Welcome to our Long Term Care Center

We are a 19-bed facility that has been in operation since January 1978.    Our residents range from short-term (i.e., recovery from a fractured hip) to long-term (i.e., severe brain damage from strokes).  We are licensed as a nursing facility for skilled nursing care and long term care.  Residents must meet established criteria to reside here.

Appropriate placement is determined by substantiating a need for 24-hour nursing care.   People who need more than minimal assistance with taking care of their daily needs (such as eating, grooming, and moving about) will be considered for placement in the Care Center.  The Care Center has 9 double rooms and 1 private room.  Most residents eat together at tables in a common dining room.  We also have a TV lounge, family room, reading are and activities room.
