The core business for Providence Health System in Alaska continued to be acute care with medical centers in Anchorage, Kodiak and Seward and statewide tertiary care provided at Providence Alaska Medical Center, Alaska’s largest hospital.
Other Providence services included continuing care through skilled nursing, assisted living and home health care in Anchorage, Seward, Valdez and Kodiak; family practice clinics in Anchorage and Wasilla; and mental health services in Anchorage, Wasilla and Kodiak.
Combined, these facilities provided 406 acute care beds, 386 long-term care beds, 60 assisted-living apartments and 22 Alzheimer patient beds in two dedicated cottages.
