Concierge Services The Concierge is located in the main lobby. Find out more about the following by stopping by or calling 907 261- 4666: • Directions within the medical center campus • Assistance to and from vehicle • Mail delivery • Information on bus schedule and taxicabs • Wheelchair services Gift Shop - 261-3159 The Gift Shop is open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sundays, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Gift Shop has gift items, jewelry, magazines, books, greeting cards, candy, flowers, and plants (both live and silk). All proceeds go back to the medical center to purchase equipment for patient care. The 1st Monday of each month is 10% off gift items for every customer. ATM An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is located at the main entrance of the medical center and by the cafeteria on the basement level. Postal Services Outgoing mail can be taken to the mailbox on the first floor located next to the Heart Center and B elevator. A stamp machine is located at the main entrance. The Concierge delivers mail to patients Monday through Friday. If mail arrives after you leave, it will be forwarded to your home address. Newspapers Newspapers stands are located at the medical center at the main entrance, East entrance, emergency/surgery entrance, and on the second level next to the progressive care unit. Internet Access Patient/Visitor Internet Stations, as well as dial-up connections are available in the ED Gallery (located on the first floor) and in ACC waiting area. Chaplain A chaplain is on duty 24 hours a day. Please have your nurse contact a chaplain. Communication Aids for the Hearing Impaired TDD's (telephone aids) are available for hearing impaired patients, and TTY's (teletypewriters) are available for deaf patients. Arrangements can also be made for sign language interpreter. To arrange for these services, please contact your nurse. Language Line Interpreters are available via the phone to help patients and families when English is not their primary language. Please inform the hospital staff if you need an interpreter. Outpatient Pharmacy The Medical Arts Pharmacy is located on the first floor by the east entrance. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information, call the pharmacy at ext. 5090. Music Thanatology Music Thanatology is live music - soothing and comforting blends of voice and harp player at a patient's bedside. It is offered as another way to serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families. It focuses specifically on the patient and is tailored in response to their physical and mental state. Any patient, staff, or family member may request Music Thanatology. A doctor's order is not necessary and there is never a charge to the patient or family. Services can be requested by calling ext. 2984 or by paging the on-call chaplain at 88-HOPE (88-4673). Volunteer Services Volunteers at the medical center participate in the supporting the mission of the Sisters of Providence by providing excellent service to patients and their families and friends and the hospital staff.
