Where To Park & How To Find Us

For your convenience, several parking areas around Providence Alaska Medical Center have been reserved specifically for our surgery patients. You may use these areas when you visit pre-admitting or come for pre-operative tests, as well as on the day of your procedure.

The following directions may help you find the parking closest to the area you need to visit. Download a map with these areas clearly marked - click for map.

Valet Parking Services
Valet Parking services are available at the Main Entrance at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

Providence Imaging, Pharmacy, & Medical Offices
We recommend that you use the East Parking Garage or the uncovered parking in front of the medical center to access Providence Imaging, the Pharmacy or the Medical Offices. Look for spaces in the garage that are reserved for "Patient".

Surgery Services, Lab, & Radiology
We recommend that you use the Day Surgery entrance marked in blue to the left of the Emergency department doors (identified as Day Surgery on the map).

It's best to use the main hospital entrance to access the Pre-Op Clinic, Lab and Radiology. Parking in the area reserved for "Emergency/Day Surgery" will help you gain access to these areas quickly and easily. However, these slots are limited and you may need to use the garage or large, uncovered parking in front of the medical center. If you need directions once you get inside the building, someone can help you at the front desk in the main lobby.

Admitting
The Admitting Department is in the center of the medical center and therefore about equal distance from any of the parking areas. It is most easily reached through the entrance that opens onto the circular driveway, if someone is dropping you off or picking you up.

Wheelchair Assistance
If you need helping getting inside, we will provide you with a wheelchair either from your vehicle in the parking lot or at any entrance. Have your driver or companion come to the front desk inside the main doors and ask for help.

Construction
Providence Health System in Alaska continues to add medical center services. With that growth comes the interruptions that construction sometimes causes, such as road detours or limited parking. We regret any inconvenience these might cause during your visit, and ask your patience as we strive to improve our service to you.
