Providence Matanuska Health Care is a full-spectrum clinic that provides health care needs for all ages from newborn to geriatric care, including care through pregnancy and delivery. Our team of physicans, nurses, and support staff deliver compassionate, quality care to all patients.
The physicians at Providence Matanuska Health Care have been actively involved in the community for many years. Dr. Cathy Baldwin-Johnson and Dr. Barbara Doty are passionate about their work in their clinic and their work outside in the community.
For Baldwin-Johnson, she has dedicated countless hours to The Children’s Place, a program she founded to protect and help abused children in the Mat-Su Valley. She has also expanded her services to provide support to Anchorage’s Alaska CARES, a similar program operated by The Children’s Hospital at Providence. Her continued support and dedication of these programs has ensured that Alaska’s abused children are not further victimized by systems designed to protect them.
Ensuring there are enough primary care physicians in Alaska is Doty’s passion. She joined the faculty at the Alaska Family Practice Residency and she works frequently at the Providence Family Medicine Center to help instruct family medicine residents in training to serve as family physicians in Alaska’s unique rural environment.
