The Center for Child Development (CCD) at Providence Alaska Medical Center is a non-profit Early Childhood Education Program, and contractor for the BP Early Learning Center. The center was developed by the Sisters of Providence with the mission to provide a quality, licensed, enriched child development service to employees, community affiliates, and their families.
In keeping with the mission of supporting the basic need of families, the Center provides educational opportunities that focus on the child and assist in their development of a positive self-concept. The children are allowed to explore and discover in a happy, caring environment as well as mature through social activities and develop a positive self-image. Through modeling, the staff provides families with effective parenting practices that are respectful to the child, consistent, and developmentally age appropriate.
