
The Providence Puff-Ins Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is an eight-week outpatient education and exercise program for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Pulmonary rehab is designed to provide participants and their families with the information and support necessary to meet the day-to-day challenges of living with chronic lung disease. A specially trained staff of nurses, physicians and physical therapists offer individual instruction tailored to the functional ability, current pulmonary status and degree of physical fitness of each patient.
The focus of the Providence Puff-Ins Pulmonary Rehab Program is to help each participant:
• Improve quality of life
• Control symptoms and complications
• Improve everyday living activities
• Decrease anxiety and depression
• Reduce hospitalizations and health care costs
