People with lymphedema have better treatment outcomes when it is caught in its early stages. Treatment can be effective, however, at any stage with proper therapy.
Here's what to look for:
- swelling of a limb which worsens over time
- heaviness and/or aching of affected limb
- repeated infections (cellulitis)
- skin thickening
