We understand the importance to the patient and family of having time together during a stay in the Critical Care or Progressive Care areas. Our priority is our patient's care, rest and privacy. We urge you to limit visitors to close friends and family.
Room visits are limited to two family members at a time. Please wait in the atrium waiting area until time to visit.
While visiting in the Progressive Care area, please have special consideration for patients in semi-private rooms.
Before entering ICU, IMCU, or CCU, please use the telephone on the wall to let us know you are coming to visit. This is to respect the privacy of both your family member and other patients in the units.
Visitors may be asked to leave any time the staff feels it is necessary - to allow the patient rest or in the event of an emergency.
Children under the age of 12 will not be allowed in the Critical Care Area. Children 13-17 years old must be accompanied by an adult. This is for the benefit of all the patients and families in the units. Children may visit in the Progressive Care Unit, but small children and infants must be with an adult at all times and are not allowed to run in the halls, patient rooms or in the atrium.
Cut flowers or live plants are not allowed in the Critical Care areas but are allowed in the Progressive Care area. Silk flowers, cards, and banners make good substitutes.
