The emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with registered nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support, trauma nursing, and pediatric advanced life support, and with physician’s that are board certified in either family practice or emergency medicine. Emergency Transportation If the need arises, Providence LifeGuard Air Ambulance service is available to transport patients to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage for more extensive care or service. Private Rooms The medical facility houses two semi-private rooms for acute care/short stay patients and skilled nursing admissions. Other Emergency Services The emergency department also provides stress/treadmill testing and holter monitoring for cardiac functioning, and diagnostic gastrointestinal tests including endosopy and colonoscopy.
