Waiting Areas
There are specially designated waiting areas for families througout the medical center.  Visitors can be reached in all areas by the overhead pager system.

Gift Shop
The Gift Shop is a wonderful place to browse or purchase something special for mom or baby.  They carry flowers, cards, stuffed animals, mylar balloons, magazine, lotions, and many other wonderful gifts.  Their hours are:

  • Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Saturday  10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sunday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Mail
Volunteers deliver letters and packages for patients each morning.  Letter and parcels that arrive after you have been discharged are forwarded to your home.  Stamps and stationery may be purchased in the gift shop.  Outgoing mail may be left at the nurse's station or given to a volunterr.

Flowers
Volunteers deliver flowers to your room. 

Newspapers
Newspapers are delivered daily to the medical center.  Please ask your nurse for a copy.

For the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
A specially equipped telephone (TTY/TDD) is available to help the patient who is hard of hearing.  Arrangements can also be made for sign language assisstance.  Please ask your nurse to contact these services.

Interpreters
The medical center can arrange for an interpreter for a number of foreign languages if a patient should require assistance.  For information, please ask your nurse to help arrange these services.
