Physical, Occupational and
Speech-Language Therapies

Our therapists provide the optimum rehabilitative environment for each patient. Rehabilitative programs are individualized to restore, maintain and promote the highest level of function, fitness and health.  Physical, Speech-language, and Occupational Therapists and their assistants are available to assist care planners and residents. They work closely with other care team members to help the patients and residents reach the highest degree of function and independence possible.

Our therapists are professionals educated at the college level and licensed by the state. They engage in an examination process that include taking the history, conducting a systems review, performing tests and measures to identify potential and existing problems upon which they can develop a plan of care and set anticipated goals for treatment.

Occupational Therapists teach the skills of independent living, including dressing, personal hygiene, homemaking, and the use of adaptive equipment.  They instruct in energy conservation, work simplification techniques and do cognitive, sensory integration and perceptual motor training.

Physical Therapists work to restore proper movement pattern (walking, running, lifting or changing positions) after injury, surgery, disease or a disabling condition. PTs assist patients to achieve their goals and return to their prior level of motor function or optimize recovery with adaptation and modifications as needed.

Speech and Language Therapists provide treatment for disorders related to communication including self-expression, language comprehension, speech production, and hearing impairment as well as cognitive aspects of communication including attention, memory, and problem solving. They also treat dysfunction related to oral-motor ability and swallowing.

Our rehabilitation program provides outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy to children and adults. We treat strokes, work related injuries, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries, development disabilities, and provide community outreach.
