Providence Academy Oregon offers non-clinical learning opportunities to managers, physicians and employees of Providence. The program is a resource for personal development and reinforcement of Providence’s mission and core values.

Nursing Education at a Glance
This resource was developed to help the nurses of Providence Portland Medical Center learn about and register for classes and seminars as easily as possible. The idea is that nurses will be able to just “Click, Print and Go!”

Nursing Career Center
This educational resource at the Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia offers incredible opportunities for nurses to advance their educational levels. From completing a BSN to an RN Residency program while working full-time, the Nursing Career Center works to offer employees innovative ways to achieve their professional goals.

The Schneider Institute for Nursing
The Schneider Institute is a resource that houses several programs and support systems that help advance the quality of nursing at the Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital.

Bedside Buddies Program
This volunteer program gives high school students interested in a future in healthcare an opportunity to have patient interaction and learn what a nurse does on a daily basis.

Steinmetz High School Scholarships Program
This program offers scholarships to high school seniors who meet qualifications and are planning a career in nursing. The scholarship money is awarded upon the student beginning nursing school.
