FACILITIES & PROGRAMS
Providence facilities are located in five different regions in Alaska: Anchorage, Kodiak, Matanuska-Susitna Valley, Seward and Valdez.
- The Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is the state’s largest hospital and provides a full-service care center. This facility has a Children’s Hospital, a Cancer Center, a Heart Center, a Maternity Center, Imaging Services, Emergency Services, Surgery Services and LifeGuard Air Ambulance Services. Also, Working Mother Magazine named us to its “100 Best Companies” list for the second year in a row.
- Our next largest hospital is located in Kodiak and features 25 acute care beds, including 4 birthing suites and 4 psychiatric care beds. This facility is staffed by a range of healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, surgeons and specialists. This facility also offers Home Health Care, Physical Therapy, a Counseling Center and Long Term Care.
- In the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, Seward and Valdez, we have smaller medical centers that offer the same quality of care as our larger centers. And, because all Providence facilities are connected, patients receive rapid access to Providence Alaska Medical Center should a higher level of care be needed.
An Interesting Fact
