Room for family

Providence Cancer Center Family Room

Families are powerful, curative forces for our patients, so we’ve gone to great lengths to ensure their comfort, too. At the new Providence Cancer Center, we’ve included all the comforts of home, including kitchen capacities, laundry, entertainment and work spaces, family rooms and extra sleeping accommodations.

Every room has not just one but two flat-screen televisions to accommodate different interests. There are workspaces with high-speed Internet access to keep up with life’s daily pace. We’ve made comfortable sleeping accommodations a priority. Our rooms have cushy pullout sofas and chairs for family members who want to stay close to loved ones.

There are comforts of community as well as home. All cancer patients have access to large family gathering rooms, a kitchenette for home-cooked meals, and washing machines and dryers so that family can feel clean and pampered and so that patients can have the comfort of their own clothes.

Nurturing self-esteem is essential to recovery, which is why the new Providence Cancer Center has a full-service salon. There’s also a spa for mind and body enrichment so that families and patients can relax and recharge without ever having to leave the building.

We took KATU-AM Northwest cameras behind the scenes of the new Providence Cancer Center on the eve of our grand opening.
