The Neuroscience Institute strives to provide comprehensive, value-based and personalized care for all of our patients. Our neurosurgeons, who specialize in different types of brain tumor surgery, ensure that their care plans support how each patient is feeling and functioning before, during and after treatment. We obtain this information via a system-wide module that allows us to compare patient reported outcome data to the types of treatment brain tumor neurosurgeons provide to ensure we are utilizing techniques that result in the best outcomes for our patients.
Our neurosurgeons also stay at the forefront of brain tumor treatment by leading and engaging in cutting edge clinical trials. There are at least 35-40 active and enrolling brain tumor clinical trials across our system at any one time which are open to eligible patients. Our neurosurgeons and neuro-oncologists work closely together across all of our care settings in each state to make certain patients can enroll in trials that are a good fit for their individual diagnosis and care needs.
