Dr Beck was of course very knowledgeable about my disc issues (once he took a second look at my mri). For most of what I told him though, he did not have much to say in response. For example, I would like to have gotten more feedback on the possibility of PT helping me; also the role poor posture may have had in exacerbating my neck issues. His most helpful comment (if you can call it that), was "Either it'll get better or it won't". During my appointment I felt as though I was wasting his time. His bedside manner is lacking, and he appeared bored. He had no helpful suggestions, and offered no insights on what I could do to try and improve. He simply said if it gets worse and I decided on surgery, he would be there. [...] I know Dr. Beck is a neurosurgeon, not a physical therapist. I still felt he could have had a kinder attitude though. When I left the office I felt depressed, dejected, and almost embarrassed that someone like me (who does not currently want surgery), had the audacity to waste his time. [...] All in all, I am pleased with everyone else in the office, just not him.

no referral or treatment recommendations were given after it was determined surgery was not necessary for low back and leg pain.

Would have liked more detailed information on my operation given/explained to me - He did not explain what he found when he was in there operating on me -
