it was hard to find a new care provider after the one I had for so many years retired. but I believe dr. Haggerty is a good doctor and I plan on staying with him.

I am finding a different provider. He ordered an MRI. The insurance denied it because he could not give them enough information why it was needed. I then called to say that all he needed to do was a peer to peer with the insurance. The response was that he didn't feel like it was worth it. I could make another appointment to continue other options. How can a doctor order a test and not provide a good enough reason why? Pathetic is not the word I would use.

I called on a Friday afternoon to see about making this appointment. My daughter had been urging me to do so for some time. I was pleased that Dr. Haggerty made time in his schedule the following Monday for me and blocked out sufficient time to accomplish everything needed. Well done!

Came in because I was sick, was checked out as sick and sent home, less than a week later I was in ER being treated for pnuemonia and kidney problems, spent over a week in the hospital being treated for health problems related to my office visit.

Doctor Haggerty made me think I was going to have surgery the next day and in fact I was just meeting a surgeon the next day. turned out the next day I ended up in the ER and I had to have emergency surgery that night. Doctor Haggerty just want to send me somewhere else so he didn't have to deal with it. I am going to try and change doctors because he isn't a caring Doctor.

My referral for physical therapy did not take place until I contacted the PT office. My provider who created the referral said they would contact the PT office, yet never did. After I contacted the PT office and explained to them that I had a referral, the PT office had to gather information from me in order for them to be able to have the referral faxed to them. When I received the referral, I asked if I should contact the PT office myself and I was told that I didn't need to, they would do it. My referral never went out until I called about it one week later.

Seemed very uncomfortable with performing pap. Did not check breasts. Not sure of his comfort level in treating female patients.

I had to call the Dr 3 to 5 days after receiving my last lab/test results in "My Chart" to converse in regards to my results. [...]

I have had a hard time getting prescriptions refilled that I have taken for years. It's very frustrating. I wouldn't request a refill if I had them at the pharmacy. The nurse's response was you should have plenty of refills already.

Gave list of medical concerns to the nurse but the doctor did not bring it into the exam room. I had indicated concern with heart arrhythmia on my list but the doctor did not monitor my heart on the chest with the stethoscope.
