She was running behind and came into my room and explained that, rather than leaving me waiting.

Dr. Albrect was fantastic - it was obvious she reviewed my patient info before entering the exam room then she reviewed information with me, while typing updated information into my chart. She was thorough, caring, and most of all - reassuring.

Very good at going over options and explaining what is going on.

very clear language, bordering on condescending. I know she was just being clear, but came off overly simplistic.

dr Albrecht is always very approachable and kind. I didn't feel rushed even though I knew she was running behind schedule.

she was rushed. I might like her more if she had more time to care about each individual patient. [...] The doctor seems perfectly capable but I was left feeling like she had somewhere else to be. When I mentioned an exam had not been done previously she was irritated and chose to not do the exam, I believe because she was overbooked and didn't have the time. Providence should take more care with scheduling their doctors and hiring more nurses.

I have a need for more than standard care. When I first saw Dr. Albrecht, she summed to know about my condition but suggested I seek out care through a possum clinic. I have but they won't take over my care--they are only a guide. I followed up with Dr. Albrecht to do more. She began the visit by saying I have "emailed her note than any other patient." She took a lot of time with me to go over a treatment plan I had shared with her but essentially said she will not order most of the tests because they are expensive, because she doesn't have a good justification for insurance, because she wasn't sure how they were relevant, or because she wasn't sure what to do with an abnormal result. She came across very dismissive of the info I brought her, fearful of insurers, and strangely confused by the medical process -- if a result is abnormal but outside your skillset, refer out! She is a great person and a good general gyn, but given her teluctance to be my partner in treatment for anything beyond a pap smear, I can't refer her to others. I have been advised to replace her with a better, more experienced advocate who knows more, is willing to explore options and doesn't mind if I communicate more than others. [...]
