the doctor did not really act like I was in the room. he was talking more to the medical student that was with him. he acted like I wasn't even there for the most part. there was some test results that were high and he did not explain what that meant or anything.

While he was nice and knowledgeable it seems like he wasn't very caring.

Dr Ban has always been respectful, and courteous. He has given some strange advice and been flat out wrong on a couple occasions. If not for his awesome nurse [...] I would have found a new Dr. long ago. [...] is great, always friendly, and if I need something ( a referral, medical records faxed, prescription issue, etc...) she always gets it handled in a timely manner.

Dr. Ban and his office staff were wonderful. His after hours on call provider was absolutely terrible ([...]). Also, there were problems with getting information about a prescription that Dr. Ban ordered on line then canceled on line. We were unable to verify why he had ordered and canceled the prescription and ended up having to take my husband to the ER to be cared for.

He did not offer anything about what to do to prevent and aggravation or injury to the current injury or anything to convince me that the condition was not serious.

I visited PAC Lab in the Centralia Professional Building to have my blood drawn and had to wait over 25 minutes before I was called in even though there was only 1 person in front of me. The phlebotomist was sitting at the computer during my wait.

there were computer system problems in the last year. a referral was entered in the system for 2016 that I never saw until 2017. I checked the My Chart several times in late 2016 and Dr. Ban never discussed the referral so I wonder how it appeared. [...] when I called the support staff I really didn't get an explanation. this was after my appointment with Dr. Ban. it's a mystery to me. Dr. Ban could have obtained a copy of the full stress test information if he didn't already have it. A paperwork snafu? I did really liked my visit with Dr.Ban.

I was supposed to come in for a routine diabetic checkup, Dr. Ban is my diabetes Dr only. I have many other doctors that take care of my other needs. I am a 2nd transplant recipient and have lots of specialty doctors, nephrology, cardio, skin, surgeons etc. He should know this, I have been going to him for several years. When I got there I was informed that he was going to do a heart checkup instead since I had recently had a stint, heart valve replacement and then a pacemaker. We told him that we were there for a diabetes checkup and that he was going to a checkup with the heart Doctor the following week. He proceeded to have his nurse do an EKG. He then asked us if he had advised us not to get the valve replacement done. (??????) He then asked what I thought had happened to need a pacemaker. After I explained it to him he said that the doctors did a bad job of telling me what had happened. But did not explain anything different than what we had just told him what the heart surgeons had told us. He then asked "So who do you go to to take care of your diabetes?" I said you. And then he said well then why didn't you get blood tests done. I told him that we hadn't gotten separate tests done because when I talked to his nurse prior to the visit she said we didn't need to since when I was in the hospital that week they had done all the tests he had wanted. He said he didn't care and to go get more blood tests done and come back in a week. He spent most of the time out of the room. The nurse would come in and say he'd be in to do the EKG then she'd come back and say he told her to do it. He was awful, he had been abrupt before but he was pretty rude this go around and did not do his job at all and belittled my other doctors. I had several life threatening events and flat lined several times. It's not like I just went in to have a heart surgery every week on a whim and forgot to tell him. He knew about the valve replacement months in advance. I will be looking for another diabetes doctor.

Dr. Ban's use of Mychart is very helpful to me and they always give me a print out "After Visit Summary" which list my next needed action, changes in prescription, etc. Very helpful indeed.

The front desk people are always kind and try very hard to get you in as soon as possible. I always feel that every time I come to see him I'm bothering him and he just does not seem to care what has happened with me.

Dr. Ban is very caring and listens well. He is very quiet and sometimes there are long silences. That can be a little intimidating but I think he takes very good care of his patients.

I have a condition that is rare and it doesn't seem that it is taken seriously. My medications are from an allergist who is familiar to my situation, by trying to discontinue these medications i go into a panic attack [...]. i do not like being treated like this doesn't matter or exist, just because i may not have many hives at each visit doesn't mean i do not have it. my condition is real and confirmed by blood work.

The problem has been on going since January 2014 ER visit. Several people have looked at common problems that are not what is wrong. It is difficult to get a timely appointment so I end up at walk in clinics.
