This provider was excellent. Thorough, thoughtful and helped me to form a plan of action to address the problem that I was having. I would have her as my primary provider if she was available.

One of the best experiences with a provider that I have ever had.

The wellness visit went very well. We talked, she explained things clearly but did not examine me physically. I have no problem with that since I didn't think there was a need for it. My concern is that my "My Chart" record shows results of my physical exam when I wasn't examined on that day except for ht, wt, BP, and tested with a black finger cuff monitor(?).

My MD in this office referred to Victoria Buchanan for a pap smear. I have had more that 50 paps in my lifetime. This pap was the worst experience ever. It was very painful and she "took a chunk" out of me instead of the procedure that an MD does. I bled all day and evening, which has never happened after a pap.

I had never seen Buchanan before, but scheduled my appointment with her since my visit was more urgent & I didn't want to wait to see my normal provider. She was absolutely wonderful. Listened, empathized & helped me so much. I'm thankful for her & the time she spent with me. Very impressed.

Too much information was given me before the results of testing were known. ie: I was told this could be lung cancer because I smoked prior to 1980. Even if this is possible I don't think it should be discussed until other more likely causes of my symptoms were eliminated.

She did a great job. In fact if I can get my blood tests while seeing her I am fine with seeing her for my annual if everything else seems ok, as it does now.

This is the first time I saw her. I chose this option rather than wait about two weeks to see my regular doctor. If my regular doctor is always going to be over booked (too many patients), she would be an acceptable regular doctor provided she is always accessible (not over booked). Basically you need to hire and retain more doctors. The question is why does this happen periodically?

Although I like knowing everything, I get a little unnerved when someone mentions the bad things that could occur, but have not occurred. Or using negative terms (even in humor) such as "tools of torture."
